Greg Smith Company Wins Contractor of the Year Award

Falls Church, VA: The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) has awarded the Greg Smith Company with their prestigious Contractor of the Year (CotY) Award in the category of Residential Kitchen: $60,000-$100,000. Greg Smith was also a finalist in the category of Residential Kitchen: $30,000-$60,000.

The award-winning kitchen was designed to not only update the dining area, but to create a gathering place for the growing family. To accomplish the homeowners’ need for more space and light, Greg Smith Company removed the back kitchen wall and raised the roofline to cathedral ceiling level. Cherry cabinetry and granite countertops added a sense of modern sophistication to the room. Also incorporated into the kitchen was a computer/work station which allowed the family to work and relax together. This renovation placed the kitchen as the focal point of the home.

The NARI CotY Awards recognize the best in the remodeling industry. Judging is based on problem solving, functionality aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation. Greg Smith, principal of Greg Smith Company, commented “These projects demonstrate the level of thought and care we put into the design and construction of every remodeling project we do.”
