What if you could know that the price your home remodeling contractor gives you before you sign the design agreement and construction agreement will be the price you pay unless YOU decide to make changes during the project? And, if you do make changes, don’t you want to be sure your home remodeling contractor doesn’t take advantage of you when charging for those changes? Of course you do!

Here’s how we guarantee the price we quote is the price you will pay.

• We use fixed-price contracts for design and for construction (not cost-plus or time and materials).
• Initially, we may discuss rough budgets and costs. But, before you are asked to sign anything for the design or construction agreements you will get a clear, detailed, written statement as to the price we guarantee, the deliverables, and what it will cost for that phase.
• We guarantee the design agreement price and the construction agreement price.
• Before we finalize the construction phase costs, we ask you to make as many of the product and materials choices as possible. If any “allowances” are needed for products or materials you haven’t selected, we confer with you as to what those allowances should be. Because we don’t use low-ball allowances, you don’t enter the construction phase and suddenly find you have to shell out thousands more because you had your heart set on a special type of tile floor and the allowance used in the proposal was for low-cost vinyl floor covering.
• If you decide to change your product or materials selection after the agreement is signed, we only charge you or credit you the difference in the price, restocking or return costs, if any, plus a pre-agreed service fee for our time.
• If you change the scope of the project in other ways, we promise to price out the change according to a pre-agreed estimating fee structure, similar to the one we used for the rest of your project.

If another remodeler does not provide you with a guaranteed fixed-price contract that clearly details the deliverables and what the project will cost, you have no assurance of what the project will actually end up costing.
